Schäfler, Alpstein

The Alpstein region offers several highlights along the way. The tour starts at the mountain station of the Wasserauen-Ebenalp cable car at 1591 meters above sea level. Already at the beginning, the 15-minute detour to the famous Wildkirchli built into the rock face, its prehistoric caves and the world-famous Aescher mountain in is worthwhile.

Back on the plateau at the Ebenalp mountain inn, the ascent follows along the southern slope to the Schäfler. Once at the top, you will enjoy a fantastic panoramic view - from Mount Pilatus to Napf and Feldberg to the Zugspitze and far beyond Lake Constance.
